The 2019 Rouleur Classic LDN is the fifth edition of what is billed as the world’s finest cycling exhibition and this year’s may well be the best yet, for as well as featuring more than 50 brands showcasing the very best upmarket bicycles, clothing and accessories there is a stellar line-up of cycling “royalty” such as Sir Bradley Wiggins, three-times Tour de France winner Greg Lemond, Mark Cavendish and Lizzie Deignan.
It takes place at Victoria House, Bloomsbury, London from October 31 to November 2. Here are some of the highlights of what will be on display at this year’s show....
Pinarello Dogma F12 X-Light
This summer Pinarello launched the latest lightweight version of its F12 frame, built from Toracya T1100 UD Dream Carbon. The choice of Team Ineos when it comes to the high mountains of the Tour de France (and elsewhere), the new Pinarello F12 X-Light is made to climb. The Team Ineos model on show will sit alongside a fleet of Grand Tour-winning bikes from the Italian brand at Victoria House, including the yellow F12 ridden by Egan Bernal on his victorious parade around Paris during the last stage of this year’s Tour de France.

Sticking with the theme of Italian thoroughbreds, the Colnago V3RS is a true superbike. Combining ingenious engineering, from smart internal cabling solutions to its semi-integrated cockpit, with a lightweight monocoque carbon frame, the new Colnago V3RS is a bike to behold. Colnago is set to roll out all the toys at Rouleur Classic LDN, so even if this flash of colour doesn’t take your fancy then perhaps the new electric road E64 bike alongside it at the show will do the trick.
Making an entrance at the Rouleur Classic for the first time is a wave of the finest electric road bikes on the market. The new Wilier Cento 10 Hybrid electric bicycle broke barriers as the lightest production electric bicycle on the market at just 10.5kg, with total integration being a stand-out feature. This pedal-assist machine is built for speed and comfort through its aerodynamic design and full internal cable system giving as smooth a finish as possible. From the integrated Albarda handlebar, through to the downtube-housed battery and slim, aero lines drawn straight from the brand’s flagship racing model, the Cento 10 Hybrid wants to go fast. Sat alongside its compatriots from Pinarello and Colnago, the Wilier is yet another head-turner at the event that will have you wanting to touch, lift and idolise the bicycles on display all day.
Cervélo Aspero Gravel Bike
With the burgeoning gravel scene only continuing to tempt more and more riders off-road, it’s only fair that Rouleur Classic LDN gave the discipline the respect it deserves with a dedicated gravel area - the Panaracer Gravel Gallery. An alluring gold finish marks out the Cervélo Aspero gravel bike, new for 2019. With a nod to the brand’s rich racing expertise, the Aspero provides brilliant power transfer and rapid responsiveness to achieve top speed in a bike that’ll not only look good but feel good when expanding your adventures; and thanks to its eye-catching golden finish it will certainly stand out.
Continuing with the theme of gravel bikes, American manufacturer Cannondale will be displaying the new Topstone Carbon, a bike ridden on a number of impressive off-road feats by pro rider Lachlan Morton. To give the bike more context, the EF Education First Pro Cycling Team rider will also be on stage at Rouleur Classic LDN to give insight into both the machine and the fast-growing gravel scene.

TITICI Gravel, Luca Di Maggio x TITICI
This piece of art arose from a collaboration between Italian artist Luca Di Maggio and Italian frame producer TITICI using its premium Flexy F-GR02, a gravel build which possesses P.A.T technology to lessen vibrations by nearly 20 per cent. Offering the versatility of either 700c- or 650b-sized wheels, this bike not only catches the eye for its looks thanks to Di Maggio’s work but also its robust performance across tarmac and the varied terrain of trails and dirt/gravel tracks. Its geometry retains the comfort required to explore the world however you wish, while the innate rigidity allows for immediate power transfer and acceleration on road or trail.

FFWD's Falcon project started by taking an existing idea of the fastest wheel and taking it to the next level. Based on only two carbon spokes with NACA profile and a variable rim height between 48mm and 90mm, all aspects are designed to reduce the drag behind the wheel. From the first tests this wheel showed remarkable improvements compared with the more traditional time trial wheels. Toray 800 and 1000 UD carbon fibres ensure stiffness and strength; the materials and form combined make it a perfect balanced wheel.
